Cut Copy
Cut Copy, the GRAMMY®-nominated, ARIA Award-winning pioneers of Australian Electronic Music, return in 2025 with their first new single in five years: “Solid.”
Formed in Melbourne in 2001 as the solo project of frontman Dan Whitford, Cut Copy evolved into a full band with Tim Hoey (guitar), Mitchell Scott (drums), and Ben Browning (bass). Their debut album, Bright Like Neon Love (2004), earned critical praise, with NME calling it “Technique-era New Order fed through My Bloody Valentine’s distortion pedals” and “the album Daft Punk should have made.”
Cut Copy’s influence transcends albums. Their music has soundtracked major campaigns and pop culture moments, including FIFA 18, Dolby, Netflix, Amazon, Chevrolet, and the global Levi’s® #LiveinLevis campaign.
